About the event
Scott Holz began fitting bikes in Retail Bike Shops in 1991. He was fascinated by why some riders made cycling look so easy while others (most notably himself) made it look hard even though they were on similar equipment and were about the same build. Cycling biomechanics were not an easy thing to study at the time, but he was able to meet and learn directly from people that would eventually be seen as the originators of modern bike fitting methodology. Scott built bike fitting services into several retail business’ across the country and joined Specialized in 2007. Over the last decade he lead the creation the cycling industry’s leading fit education program, has aided in Specialized’s ‘Body Geometry’ shoe and saddle development, and has worked with Specialized sponsored professional riders in all disciplines of the sport.
